Hey Reader,
Wherever you are I hope you are enjoying the month of August.
I am sitting at my desk looking at my chat this time last year with Ruth, who received a job offer. The interesting part of this story is what happened right before she got that offer.
She was pretty nerve racked when she wrote to me that day.
She had an interview with the employer before; and even though she was busy with separate interviews from multiple employers, this one really had her stressed out because the HR team had gone silent for awhile.
Ruth proved that even under stress, she made a good impression and had the ability to stay the course. Apparently the employer thought the same, because these were her next messages:
You have the chance to be like Ruth right now. August will turn to September shortly, and more managers will be available for you.
Most people who joined lately tell me they wish they had started earlier.
Why? Because the sooner you start, the sooner you are closer to your monthly salary. Every time you try another free resource like ChatGPT or YouTube, you are not moving faster. You are delaying the process.
That's like moving into a new apartment all by yourself; you can carry each heavy item up and down the stairs one at a time, and eventually you’ll get it done. But it’s slow, exhausting, and stressful.
Or you can hire a moving van and a team - Then things move faster, smoother, and with a lot less effort to your new home.
Believe me; you don’t want to look back in 6 months with no added connections, no conversations with hiring managers, and wish we could have capitalized on this time.
Are you ready?
Btw this is the last thing Ruth wrote to me in October:
