Reader hi again back from last week.
We had a great roundtable focus group with some brand new members as well as some of the oldest members of Immigrant Spirit.

So about this weeks topic: Remote jobs!
Almost everyone wants an option to WFH, but there seem to be less and less jobs with remote possibility since Covid (Corona times).
I checked yesterday and it turns out there are only 11,501 remote jobs available in Germany compared to 642,000 total jobs.
That's just under 1.8% of all job posts in Germany that offer remote possible in their description.
This is considering Full-time, English job posts.
If you only look at permanent positions, that amount drops even lower to 9,902 remote jobs.
So as you can see, a very small chance that there is a remote role available.
Look, I know not everyone wants to have a home office everyday.
But at least the option on Mondays or Fridays attracts a lot of people.
What you could do instead is write to the manager of your hiring position and ask him or her if the job post is 100% accurate:
"Is there any possibility for home office?"
You might be surprised if they tell you that in reality...
They are accepting for people to stay at home a few days of the week.
